This workshop will break down the Headstand posture ‘Sirsasana’ for beginners and also a refresher for those with experience. Known as the King of asanas because of its many benefits, it’s no surprise that turning your perspective can be challenging for most of us. During this workshop we will enjoy a vinyasa style flow which will warm us up to work on preparatory practices to strengthen the upper body, shoulders and core. We will have fun learning to acheive this posture by going through the various steps and options.
Whether you are new to headstand or have trouble finding balance and stability on your arms, this is the workshop to come along to. Unless we are in a Mysore class environment or have time with our teacher, it can be hard to learn headstand in a busy vinyasa/power yoga class. This workshop will provide a safe and fun environment to allow you to take away ideas and information so you can safely start to integrate headstand/or variations into your yoga practice.
You don’t need to be able to do full headstand to attend, as all options, instructions and support with be given.
