[fusion_text]Starting in January 2016, our morning Mysore program will extend its morning hours until 1130. This is a great opportunity to learn how to establish morning practice without having to wake up at an early hour! Having more time to practice also means that there will be two teachers offering their services to the students during a 5-hour window every day.
Sarah Hatcher will be teaching the morning program (0630-0930) and Emma Isokivi will be teaching the mid-morning program (0930-1130). While Emma and Sarah are away training, practitioners will be taken care of by Karen Kirkness and Joanna Darlington, along with Meadowlark Mysore-teaching staff such as Joanne Ewen and Avid Yogi Teacher Training recent graduates: Sueann Rochester and Kirsten Waugh.
The morning program’s vision is to offer practitioners the highest level of teachings in the most sincere way.

These will happen starting from 9:30. This is to invite new practitioners to the program while maintaining the highly focused and quiet environment of the Mysore room. It is Meadowlark’s vision to have both beginners and intermediate to advanced students in the room together so that practitioners can learn from each other.
This is what a practitioner will see when they go to Mysore or to another shala: all practitioners new and seasoned practice together. This environment allows for a meditative focus to be cultivated throughout the yoga session.
Another change to the Morning Mysore program is the fee structure. As we are planning on extending the hours and the teaching staff, there is an increase in price. All current discounts apply. Ask the front desk if you have any personal enquiries regarding this or speak with Sarah or Elise.
Yoga sutra and chanting classes are going to be in full swing starting in 2016: we will have our Wednesday at 4pm course, Sunday’s post Mysore at 9.30am as well as Friday mornings after the 7.30am led class and before the 10 am led class from 9.15-9.45am. These will be led by Sarah Hatcher.
2016 is a year for personal growth and transformation for our students but also for our teachers as well. Emma Isokivi is currently studying with Sharath R Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute in Mysore; Sarah Hatcher and Karen Kirkness are off to study with Dena Kingsberg. In the coming year our teachers will be traveling abroad to share their knowledge in America: Karen Kirkness will be teaching for Kate O’Donnell in Boston at Down Under Yoga.
Students have the opportunity to practice daily and also be invited to take part in many wonderful weekend workshops we are offering. A few workshops on the calendar are from Chris Conn, Joanna Darlington, Sarah Hatcher, Karen Kirkness and Emma Isokivi.
Students who wish to become Mysore teachers or get involved in our morning program are invited to apply to Avid Yogi for a 200-hour teacher training. Karen Kirkness is offering courses in 2016 so be sure to catch that opportunity if you see fit.
Many blessings to all of you and we hope to see you blossom and grow on your mat as well as off in many ways.
