In order to focus on our mission to provide the best quality Yoga classes possible, Meadowlark Yoga is consolidating its offering. From 1st April our classes & workshops will be based solely at 43 Argyle Place. The premises known as “the Star studio” is a lovely space but too small and awkwardly situated for the company to reconcile with the costs of running services there.
Aerial Yoga will continue to be offered on a one-to-one basis in the Moon Studio.
Our Therapies team have gone from strength to strength and have now outgrown their clinic space as well. As of 1st April, our Therapies Directors Carrie and Lou, are relocating to larger premises where they can continue to grow their offering. After this time we will endeavour to continue a therapies service to our clients in the Moon Studio – watch this space for more details.
The cafe will continue as Cafe 39 and maintain its current offering as its own brand.
We have learned that there is a huge demand for therapies, healthy food, and yoga all in one location, and have enjoyed every minute of adapting toward offering this comprehensive service. After just 12 months, the demand has outgrown the premises. Whilst we are sad saying goodbye to the beautifully bijou Star studio, it is important for management to acknowledge that running two separate Reception/facilities for such a small capacity was not going to be sustainable.
In 2016 we have many exciting training courses & offerings which require a larger venue, such as Karen Kirkness’s Anatomy Trainings in the very historical Old Lab in Summerhall and we’ll host our visiting teacher, Dena Kingsberg, at Dance Base.
Meadowlark Yoga will continue to offer an adaptive Yoga program with classes, workshops, and trainings taught by some of the most experienced and dedicated Yoga teachers in Edinburgh. We look forward to the next phase of focus, concentrating on what we do best: Yoga.
