One : One Yoga

Private sessions are a great way to begin, build, or re-ignite your Yoga practice. Each session is tailored to a particular style of yoga, specific areas of interest within your practice, etc. Since the 1:1 sessions are all about you and your practice, be sure to tell your instructor about any past/present injuries or health concerns.

At Meadowlark Yoga our mission is to connect each and every person to a style of Yoga that suits their personal level with respect to age, health condition, and experience.

Although we specialise in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, there is no one-size-fits-all approach, particularly for individuals recovering from illness or injury.

One-to-One Yoga Checklist

Are you pregnant?

Please ensure you have your doctor’s recommendation to start Yoga during pregnancy before you book into a Pregnancy Yoga class. If you’re not sure about the group classes, try booking a 1:1 with one of our Yoga teachers here.

Do you have a chronic injury?

Be sure to let us know before we start your Yoga session if you are suffering from an injury or illness.

Are you relatively healthy but concerned about your fitness?

If you have a good bill of health and are cleared by your doctor for exercise, but are a bit shy of joining a group Yoga class, we recommend that you book a 1:1 with a Yoga teacher to get you to grips with the basics.

Healthy, fit, and interested in learning the basics of Ashtanga Yoga before you join a class?

Nobody would argue that ‘1:1’ is the golden student-teacher ratio. You can book a single lesson or a block or lessons for maximum progression, whether you are interested in eventually joining a group class or continuing 1:1 with a teacher of your choice.
