COVID Policy Updated 08/02/2021
*Waiver* By attending any of our in studio classes, workshops, trainings, one-to-ones or therapies you agree:
*We expect everyone to wear a mask as they enter the building, and to keep that mask on properly throughout the premises and into the yoga rooms. Teachers, staff, students - everyone who enters our premises - will need to wear a mask except when on the mat practising. It is up to the individual if they would like to wear the mask while on their own mat, including teachers. Use of visors is also fine, but not mandatory. Fabric face masks are mandatory and anyone who chooses to wear a visor will also need to wear a mask underneath.
NO MASK, NO MAT, NO CLASS. Anyone refusing to wear a mask or attending without a mat will be turned away from class; the booking will be converted into a livestream drop-in class that can be used for any livestream class on the timetable.
Posters are on display informing our community of social distancing and cleanliness/hygiene protocols at Meadowlark Yoga (MLY).
We commit to the wellbeing of our community; anyone coming to MLY with any signs of COVID-19 will be sent home to follow UK Government regulations.
We are implementing a temperature-taking measure into our protocol; see Fever Free Zone for more details. Everyone will have their temperature taken upon entry; anyone presenting with a temperature above UK Government guidelines will not be permitted to enter the building.
We will ensure that social distancing is adhered to throughout the centres at all times by our community members.
It is down to the individual to take reasonable personal responsibility when participating in physical activity.
We will comply with any health designation documentation that the UK Government implements, and we ask for our community members to agree to all Covid-19 Health and Safety measures required to visit MLY.
Gloves are not mandatory as the World Health Organisation (WHO) advice is that it is preferable not to wear gloves but to regularly wash your hands.
For any 1:1 therapies at MLY, PPE is required to be worn by the client at all times, and clients will be requested to bring their own mask.
You will be asked to wash your hands before your class. Sanitisers will be on offer throughout the premises, please use them.
At the time of booking, we request confirmation that neither they nor anyone they have been in close proximity to, have any symptoms related to Covid-19 within the last 14 days.
We ask all community members to confirm that if they or anyone they have been in close proximity with show any symptoms related to Covid-19 within fourteen days before visiting MLY, they will contact the studio immediately with that information.
We ask all students/clients if they have visited MLY for a class, workshop, course, training or treatment and show any symptoms relating to Covid-19 after their visit, to contact the MLY team immediately. Necessary protocols will be actioned if there is any possibility community member has visited MLY and after visiting is showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
If there is a COVID-19 case in the facility, we will follow the PHE Guidance – COVID-19 – Cleaning in non-healthcare settings while cleaning all areas of the facility.
Teachers will clean high-contact touchpoints throughout the premises before and after classes every day.
We have ensured necessary processes are in place to make sure social distancing is adhered to at all times for all community members with 2m spacing marked on the floor.
Our changing rooms will only be accessible for use of the toilets and hand washing facilities – showers will not be available.
Extra care/signposting is provided to reinforce social distancing when in these areas. Spray and cloths will be available for student/client use for touchpoints.
Our community members must follow the social distancing guidelines (2m) at all times. We have adjusted our studio layout to allow for appropriate space between each mat, and will initially only use the Sun studio to keep spacing guidelines more easily manageable.
There will be clear signage in the form of floor markings and a one-up, one-down, one-in, one-out system in place to manage the flow of students entering and leaving classes.
There will be a minimum 30-minute window in between classes for thorough cleaning and sanitisation.
We will not be providing mats and recommend that students bring their own mat and any props that they would like to use. The use of MLY props will be kept to an absolute minimum and they will be sanitised by the teachers after being used.
