Meadowlark offers Yoga for Healthy Pregnancy and Mum & Baby yoga courses. Each unique course is led by an experienced teacher qualified in yoga, pilates or corrective exercise. Please read below for more details on the courses, dates and booking.

Mums & Babies Course
Six 60 Minute Classes £60

Come along to Mum and Baby yoga. This 6-week course gives you the opportunity to practice yoga and bring your baby too. Mum and baby can relax and go with the flow depending on the mood of the class. The format is relaxed and your baby takes priority; baby can chill out on the mat and watch you, join in, get fed, have a snooze or maybe just have a wee cry… whatever goes! This is a chance to get in shape, feel good and tone up. Yoga will help you get strong, flexible and also benefit from the relaxation of the practice.

Course Notes

Advised for mums 6 weeks postpartum or caesarean delivery 10-12 weeks postpartum. This is a guideline only, please consult with your health practitioner. Please keep the start and end dates of your course in mind as substitutions cannot be made for missed classes. Recommendation for your little ones: 0-12 months, not recommended for when your baby is mobile/walking.

Yoga for a Healthy Pregnancy

The Pregnancy Yoga course is a wonderful way to prepare for labour and birth. Each 60-minute class consists of yoga-based exercises, breathing awareness, meditation techniques and a relaxation to keep you fit and healthy during your pregnancy. The exercises are specifically designed as gentle, strength building stretches to help you release tension and relax throughout your pregnancy.

Each class concludes with an opportunity to chat and ask questions about birth related issues, such as postures and exercises to alleviate many of the physical discomforts that may accompany pregnancy. You will also learn techniques to help you through labour with or without medical pain management.

The Yoga for a Healthy Pregnancy is recommended for all pregnant women from 12 weeks of pregnancy, and are suitable for all women regardless of their fitness level. No previous experience of yoga is required.
