New to Meadowlark?

Your 1st class is free!

Drop us an email to [email protected] or swing by the studio and we can set you up with an account, all we need is your full name and email address.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

In your very first class you can borrow a mat for free. After that, please bring your own. We have a lovely selection of high quality mats available to purchase, or you can hire one of our mats for £2.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. We advise non restrictive fabrics so you can move freely. We have some lovely clothing online here.

How much do classes cost?

There are lots of options to suit your personal circumstances from drop-ins, 5 or 10 class packs and for those of you practising everyday, rolling monthly packages which give you access to our full timetable. Click here for our full price list.

And what about discounts?

If you are a student, work for the NHS, unemployed or over 65 we offer a 10% discount, show us your ID and we can add this to your account. For yoga teachers and Edinurgh Uni Yoga society  we offer a 15% discount, just show us or email in your certificate or ID and we can add this to your account. How can I book into a class?

The easiest way is to download our bespoke MLY booking app:

If you're struggling with technology (we feel you on this), you can contact us by email and we can book you in. If you prefer you can always drop by and see us in person. Our reception team will happily talk you through the schedule and find times and classes to suit.

Please visit our Policies page to read the full guidance on our booking policies in light of the ongoing COVID circumstances.

What type of yoga does Meadowlark offer?

We offer all-levels of yoga. Classes are available to those beginning their yoga journey and for more seasoned practitioners alike. A comprehensive offering includes Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Pregnancy and Postpartum, Yin Yang Flow, Kids & Teen, Power and Gentle Flow styles. We also offer meditation, philosophy, chanting, and the Mysore community is a thriving community of dedicated Ashtangis. Want to know more about Mysore? Click here.

The best way to check out the current offering is to download our bespoke app and view the timetable.

I'm a total beginner, what's the best way for me to get started with yoga?

We offer Basics-level drop-in classes both in-studio and on the livestream timetable. Look for our 2022 Beginners Courses throughout the year. You can also get in touch with Emma, our Mysore Program Director, to enquire about the next Mysore Beginners Intake/workshops coming up. Another option to get started is to book a 1:1 by filling out the contact form to get the conversation started.

In terms of classes, look out for anything with “gentle” in the name or “basics”.

What options do you offer for pregnancy (pre and postnatal, aka antenatal?)

We offer a growing range of pregnancy yoga classes both in-studio and online to support mums-to-be. Join one of our antenatal classes as part of your self-care journey during pregnancy, and come back to us for your postpartum care following the fourth trimester!  And why not try a mum & baby course for special bonding time with your wee one. You've got this, and we've got you.

What are your studio policies (cancellation window, COVID measures, capacity, etc)?

Please see the Policies page for all the current information, by clicking here.

Why is the Mysore Program separate from the drop-in timetable?

Mysore style yoga practice is different from drop-in classes because it is a 6-day per week program. Each practitioner learns at their own pace, developing and progressing according to her own circumstances under the guidance of the Mysore Team teachers.
