Moon and practice rhythm at Meadowlark

Before you leave the house

Book your space through Mindbody or the studio app so you know the room is open for drop-ins. Wear clothing you can move in, bring a water bottle, and plan to arrive ten minutes early on your first day so a teacher can show you where to put shoes and bags.

Five steps at the door

1. Check in at the desk or with the teacher if the desk is quiet.

2. Tell the teacher about injuries or if you are pregnant so they can offer sensible options.

3. Find a spot where you will not block walkways when the room fills.

4. Silence phones completely. The room stays focused and calm.

5. Stay for savasana unless you must leave early, in which case leave before quiet rest begins so you do not disturb others.

If you are trying Mysore

Mysore-style Ashtanga looks different from a led class. You move at your own pace while teachers watch and assist. Read how we observe moon days and rest so you know why some mornings swap to yin or quiet practice. The main Mysore programme page lists current morning and evening hours.

After class

Wipe your mat if you borrowed studio props, put blocks and straps back neatly, and ask front desk about beginners courses if you want a slower introduction than a single drop-in. For directions or email, use the contact page. For a softer practice style, see restorative yoga: when it helps most.

If the timetable looks busy, pick one open-level class midweek when the room is less crowded. That first hour on the mat is about learning the rhythm of the space, not performing poses perfectly.
