Restorative sessions use props, longer holds, and a quiet room so your nervous system can downshift. Teachers still guide alignment and breathing, but the pace is slow on purpose. It is not the same as sleep, though many people feel deeply rested afterwards.
Do I need experience? No. Beginners are welcome. Tell the teacher if lying on your back is uncomfortable and they will adjust props.
Can I pair it with Mysore? Yes. Many students use restorative or yin on moon days or after heavy training weeks. Read moon day notes for Mysore to see how the schedule shifts.
What should I wear? Warm socks and layers help because the body cools down while you stay still.
Is livestream an option? Check the Livestream page on the main site for current online blocks.
If you train hard three or four days in a row, slot a restorative class midweek rather than waiting until you feel wiped out. If you are brand new to the building, skim the first visit checklist before you arrive.
